Acquafilms was founded in 2005 by Iain Mc Glashan and Roddy Grimes-Graeme to service the yachting industry's need for quality and contemporary promotional and editorial films. Telling a story is the core of our approach and we bring a fresh, dynamic look to our productions.
 
While Iain has moved on to his own pursuits back in Canada, Acquafilms continues, based in Antigua during the winter and traveling worldwide during the summer. Our skill set and wide network of alliances mean that Acquafilms can provide custom solutions to any film request. Acquafilms has a long and growing client list in the Marine and yachting industry and in broadcast television.
 
We invest money and time in technology and skills which allow us to creat extremely high quality footage with small crews. This gives us an almost unmatched ratio of quality vs. cost of production. Our skill at stabilising cameras on the water and in the air allows us to provide shots which bring huge production value to any film project. We can assemble our own production team or we can bring our skills to an existing team.

Born in Saint Kitts I have spent half of my life in the Caribbean and half in the UK.
 
For me, photography is something of a family tradition & the Caribbean palette has been a source of inspiration spanning generations.
 
Living here is somewhat like living in a frontier town. We are at a crossroads where all these cultures collide – it is chaotic, colourful and dynamic. I love the sense of possibility this creates.
 
To capture the beauty of the randomness of Caribbean life as it is reflected in the architecture, the people and the landscape is something I never tire of exploring.

WHO AM I?

 

My name is Jake Kelsick and I am Professional Kiteboarder and Content Creator from a small island in the Caribbean called Antigua.

 

 

Welcome to my world of waking up everyday and doing what you love. I have been kiteboarding for half my life and it has been an incredible journey.

 

It has allowed me to travel to places that I never even knew existed, it has also allowed me to spend a lot of time on myself, really fine tuning my life to be and feel how I want it.

 

Getting exposed to a life of freedom has morphed me into a full time freedom junkie. This is where I show and share my story.

I love taking photographs and seize every opportunity to capture everything and anything that grabs my attention. I am very lucky that living in the eternal summer of the caribbean I don’t have to go far to have my attention grabbed.
 
My portfolio of work including Marine, Commercial, caribbean underwater, caribbean landscape and caribbean nature stock photography is inspired by my passionate desire to share, the stunning beauty of the caribbean tropical environment, both above and below the waves, with as many people as I can reach.

I was was born in London England , and soon realized that there was a big world out there!
 
I traveled extensively through the Far East and South America, ending up in New York in the 1980s, working with some great advertising photographers out of Park Ave South, which was instrumental in my development as an ad photographer.
 
I returned to the Caribbean in the late 80's and For the last 25 years I have maintained a home and studio there. This is now my base for location projects across the Caribbean region.
 
I specialize in location photography (interior and exterior) of Quality Hotels, luxury Yachts, Private Villas, and on the corporate front, Bank Reports, and Casino advertising. and Design.
